Coach: John Stewart
Fee: $200
Date: September 28th - December 7th
Time: 8:30pm - 9:30pm Tuesdays
Description: This program is for anyone who wants to be a better swimmer. The goal of this course is to go through all elements of the swim stroke to help you become as efficient as possible. For triathletes we will also practice mass starts sighting and other triathlon specific skills. In addition head coach John Stewart will provide one or two workouts and drills for you to do on your own so you maintain a good feel for the water in between classes.
Each week we will focus on a different part of the stroke with drills and exercises, then combine those skills with lap swims focused on technique. For triathletes, we will also practice mass starts, sighting, and other triathlon specific skills. In addition, John will provide one or two workouts and drills for you to do on your own so you maintain a good feel for the water inbetween classes. At the end of this class you'll feel much more comfortable in the water, much more in control of your swimming, and much, much faster. We suggest that folks looking to participate in this program come to class already able to swim 2 lengths of the pool in some semblance of the freestyle/crawl stroke (regardless of speed, or lack thereof)
The class is held at the Berkeley Carroll Athletic facility in Park Slope located at 762 President Street.
