Description: In its 12th year, the Nautica New York City Triathlon has already become one of the country's premiere mid season tri events, attracting a large international and professional field. The swim portion in the Hudson River is America's fastest Olympic distance swim.
If you have completed a triathlon and you're looking to set a PR, then this is the program for you.The twice weekly workouts will be a combination of run, bike and bricks workouts. Improved pacing, increased endurance and strength and transitioning will be the overriding focus of the class. Also inlcuded is TWO pool workout which will work in conjunction with our weekly online swim coaching. We'll review all of the basic swim drills in this class so that you'll understand and be able to maximize the weekly online swim coaching. If a stronger swim concentration is desired all program participants will have priority discount entry into one of our fitness level specific tri-swim classes.
We've developed this program for someone who can already swim 500 yards continuously, run 6 miles continuously and can bike 24 miles continuously.
Ample time is devoted to race day preparation so that if this is your first triathlon, you will be well informed and prepared.
Fee: $275 without race registration or $540 for training WITH race registration.
Days/Times: Wednesdays from 7:00pm-8:00pm and Saturday mornings at 7:00am In general, you should plan on running Wednesdays and cycling Saturdays.
Dates: Wednesday, May 2nd through July 8th - 10 weeks We will NOT have class May 26th for Memorial Day weekend or July 4th for Independance Day weekend.
Where: Our twice weekly workouts will meet at the SW entrance to Central Park in the Columbus Circle area. Our ONE swim workout will meet at Seahorse Fitness on Manhattan's Lower East Side.
